Freedom Loves Company
It was a special day on July 4th as 33 C4Lers participated in the San Juan Capistrano Tea Party. There were many activist groups and vendors on hand with tents, tables and literature—Oathkeepers, OC 912, 6milesquare, Young Americans for Liberty to name a few, live music, clowns, and comedians. The organizers did a great job.
Our goal was to get the word out about HR 4995 End the Mandate. We collected 102 signed petitions, and we also tossed in the Cap & Trade petition and picked up 83 signed petitions to stuff in Diane Feinstein's fax machine and 83 for Boxer too.
The best thing about these events however is getting together with other Paulistas—the regulars and newcomers. We had them coming from several counties this time and they did not disappoint. The location was ideal for a Tea Party and we could not have any better weather. In the evening, twelve of us got together for dinner at a near by restaurant—ate and drank and celebrated our successful day. We also had a special visit at dinner from Chelene Nightingale (for California governor). She gave a killer speech at the Tea Party.
Cheers to Chelene and all of you Paulistas who helped out—Matt, Jim Mills, Dave, Pete, Tim, Dani, Francis, Roger (with wife and kid), Sandee, John from Oathkeepers, Nia, Carol, Lench and family, Rick, Oscar, Judy, Bob Green, Jarrett and girlfriend—you people are the best!
